Drama at school

Miss Theresa did drama with the kids every Friday after school. The play was about the ‘three little pigs’. But a variation of it, the wolf’s side of the story. The wolf doesn’t want to eat the pigs, he wants to make a pie for his granny but needs sugar. So he goes around in the neighborhood to ask. When he arrives at a piggy’s house, he asks if he can get in. Of course the pig says no, and he blows the house down because he needs to snees. The same thing happens to the second pigs house. But the third pigs said something bad about his granny, so he bangs on the door and just then the police came by. The news reporters didn’t like the sugar story so they blew up the whole thing and made it like he ate the pigs. It comes in the news and then the newspaper boys goes around with the paper to tell everybody all about it.

The parents all were invited for dinner: the kids made it and served us! And after we watched the play. It was BEAUTIFUL! The kids did great. The storytellers were amazing, wolf was sweet, the pigs adorable, the police funny and the newspaper boy excellent. Bas was the newspaper boy. It was pretty impressed about how he acted perfectly. He came on stay with a swing, took the newspaper out of his bag and held it up shouting (with a seller’s voice): ‘Action, action, read all about it! Big bad wolf tries to kill 3 innocent pigs!’. A proud mother, a happy son!!!! Thanks miss Theresa, things like this are fun and give them confindence in life.

Luna Isa 17 months

The ocean is kind of rough this time of year. Swimming with 3 little onces in not so safe. But the ocean is calling us anyway so we go for walks along the beach. The kids love it so much. They look at butterflies, flowers, send coconuts to other islands, run away from the waves or jump in the first 3 meters and laugh!

Mural art project at school

This week was Montessori week and Auntie Marie asked me to present an artwork I did with the kids. We showed our master piece and put it up in the classroom. I’m so proud of the kids! Their mural is fantastic! The did the background in all values of blue. The preschool painted wooden pieces in the blue values. First elementary painted and decorated the wooden fishes and starfishes.

Lime harvest at Garden day

Emily is 6

Emily turned 6 last week and we had a fun pool party at their house in the weekend. The kids got to make giant bubble using bubble wands. It was so much fun seeing everyone being excited about it! Happy birthday sweet Emily, we love you!

I had so much making a ballet bag for her. I made it out of a fabric I had from my mom. I wanted grey with pink, I think that is such a beautiful combination!

Garden day at Shelley
