At the beach and Margarita's

We had some fun at the beach and had lunch and a big drink for the boys. Julianne and her girls joined. What a great day with friends from Guam and Belgium!

Nadien gingen we nog even naar de zee en gingen iets eten in een Mexicaans restaurant. Juliannne en haar dochters vergezelden ons. Het was een fantastische dag met vrienden van Guam en België.

Kite festival

We went to the kite festival at Asan beach park. Peter Gert bought Bas a kite in Belgium last year to fly at the beach there. A year later the same kite flies again with this pair, Bas and Gert, but in Guam. How wonderful!

We gingen allen naar het kite festival in het Asan beach park. Peter Gert kocht Bas vorig jaar een windvlieger in België om mee te spelen aan het strand. Een jaar later vliegt de windvlieger opnieuw, met hetzelfde paar, maar dan in Guam. Fantastisch gewoon!

Luna Isa can sit up quite well. She just turned 6 months and loves her new position to studies new things and of course to smile and have fun with other kids, like here with Emily! We will have to miss her, Anna and Penny for a month because they are visiting family tomorrow. Have a great time Penny, Anna and Emily, we will think about you.

Luna Isa kan al redelijk goed rechtop zitten. Ze is net 6 maand oud en houdt er van om allerlei nieuwe dingen te bestuderen en te lachen naar andere kindjes, zoals hier Emily! We gaan haar, Anna en Penny voor een maand moeten missen omdat ze familie gaan bezoeken morgen.

Ekko is also crazy about peter Gert. He wants to play with him or rest on his shoulder when he is tired. So sweet!

Ekko is ook gek van peter Gert! Hij wil heel de tijd met hem spelen en wil rusten op zijn schouder als hij moe is. Zo schattig!

They are in Guam

Bas is so happy that his godfather Gert arrived. Together with uncle Stijn they played the first day for hours: board games, ocean play and talking.

Bas is zo blij dat zijne peter Gert er is. Samen met nonkel Stijn speelden ze de eerste dag uren gezelschapspelletjes. Veel lol aan zee en babbles achteraf.

Birthday at Garden Day

Phaedra, a garden day girl, celebrated her 4^th birthday with us at Garden Day. Together with her mom and siblings he made flower necklaces. After a birthday story she planted a tree in the garden. All the kids were helping her. Afterwords they all danced around it while Ska was drumming!! So beautiful!

We worked a bit too and Ekko replanted the sweet patato’s over and over. He just loves garden day!!!!!!!!

Phaedra, een meisje van Garden Day, vierde samen met de Garden Day groep haar 4de verjaardag. Samen met haar mama en zus en broer hadden ze bloemenhalskettingen gemaakt. Na het verjaardagsverhaal plantten we een boom in de tuin. Alle kindjes hielpen haar. Nadien dansten we er rond terwijl Ska er op los drumde. Zo mooi!

We werkten nog wat in de tuin en Ekko herplantte zijn zoete aardappel opnieuw en opnieuw. Hij vindt Garden Day geweldig!!!

Niet iedereen staat er op, twee mama’s die regelmatig komen waren er niet.

Sour sap

We ate a lot of sour sap the last month. This delicious tropical fruit is sweet and sour at the same time. Bas and Ekko love it. Every morning we go and check if we have a ripe one. Ekko wants to bit it straight away and runs of with it while laughing, our greasy boy.. We made smoothies with it and lolly pops. When Bas comes from school he asks ‘what did Ekko make for me?’

We aten veel zuurzak de laatste maand. Deze heerlijke tropische vrucht is zoet en zuur tegelijk. Bas en Ekko vinden het bijzonder lekker. Elke morgen kijken we of er eentje rijp is. Ekko wil er dadelijk in bijten en loopt er mee weg al lachend, ons gekkertje. We maakten er milk shake en ijsjes mee. Wanneer Bas van school komt vraagt hij: ‘wat heeft hij Ekko voor mij gemaakt vandaag?’
