Surfboard table and chair

Gisela gave us some scrape wood to make a table and chair. We thought a surfboard table would be fun! So … Bas made the coolest design with printing the 3 basic colors with sponges on the table and chair, mixing the colors and having them as such. They had so much fun. Gisela also gave a piece to Ekko, oh my, he loved it! At the end of the day, before he went to bed he gave her kisses and hugs, it was so cute. Also Roni came over and she sang to Luna, which she loved while I was preparing dinner for all of us. It was a fun day!

And both Ekko and Bas think the table is the coolest ever! Thanks Gisela!

Gisela gaf on swat overschotjes van hout om een tafel en stoel te maken. We dachten aan een surfplank als tafelblad. Zodus maakte Bas een prachtig ontwerp met de 3 basiskleuren die hij er op drukte met oude sponzen, de kleuren warden gemixt of puur gehouden. Ze hadden zoveel plezier. Gisela gaf ook een stuk aan Ekko, oh ja vond hij natuurlijk leuk! Op het einde van de dag gaf hij haar zoentjes en knuffels, het was zo lief. Ook Roni kwam en ze zong voor Luna, wat ze heel fijn vond terwijl ik eten maakte voor ons allen. Het was een toffe dag! En zowel Ekko als Bas vinden de tafel absoluut fantastisch. Bedankt Gisela!

Ink painting iwth Gisela

Gisela did some ink painting with Bas. It is fun to make different values, just by adding some water! Thanks Gisela, he really loves this! And we all love your company! So much fun. We keep the other project still a secret, until it is finished, ok? …

Gisela kwam langs voor een sessie inkt schilderen met Bas. Het was heel leuk om verschillende kleurschakeringen te maken met het zwart. Bedankt Gisela, hij vindt het geweldig. En wij houden ook van je gezelschap! Heel tof! We houden on sander project nog een beetje geheim, tot het helemaal af is, ok?

Butterflies from Jamie

Thanks Jamie for this beautiful mobile. It is hanging in our living room above Luna’s little bed. Luna Isa squeals from joy when the wind is playing with the butterflies.

Bedankt Jamie voor deze prachtige mobile. Het hangt omhoog in onze living, boven Luna’s kleine bedje. Luna kraait van blijdschap wanneer de wind sleept met de vlinders.

Ik hou van ervan wat ze op school leren over het eiland: nectar drinken uit de hibiscus bloem!

Fantastisch Basje dat je het wil delen met ons! Ik kan zien dat je eerlijk houdt van haar smaak en haar schoonheid omhelst.

Elke dag Ekko, pluk je al de bloemen. Ik zie je lopen met je neus in de wind alsof de nectar je vleugels geeft.

Goed reis joma, jopa, tante Ine, nonkel Dave and Gijs

Een voetafruk zo Rood en zo gRoot als Guam om jullie aan de fijne tijd hier bij ons thuis te herinneren van toen ik 4 jaar was. Wandelen op de rode aarde, trucjes aan tafel, uren leesgenot en zwemplezier en zelfs vuilnisbakvliegtuigen. Het kon niet beter, mijn voetje zal het weten.

Een handje blij van het klappen van plezier op het papier want het was reuzefijn jullie on shier bij ons te hebben. Dit handje voelt zoveel fijne herninneringen dat ik het een afdruk waardig vond.

The last day was kind of tricky … would they succeed in finding the treasures and become members of the Ipan Pirate gang? Yes they found it!!!!!! Hooray!

De laatste dag was wel spannend … zouden ze de schat vinden en lid worden van de Ipan piraten bende? Ja, ze vonden de schat, hoera!!!!!!!!

Singing with puppets

When we play with Luna Isa we sing songs with the puppets. Bas was singing for Gijs. It was so sweet!!!!!!!!! My hearth melted when he changed Luna Isa’s name into –luna oh Gijs- in a song.

Wanneer we met Luna Isa spleen zingen we liedjes met poppen. Bas zong voor Gijs. Het was zo lief! Mijn hart smolt wanneer hij Luna’s naam verving door –luna og Gijs- in een liedje.

Birthday party at Cocos Island for Ine

Going to Cocos Island always seems a bit like holidays to us. We loved the idea to go on a holiday all together now the Schilsies were here … and it was Ine’s birthday! The kids loved the boat ride, playing on the beach, in the pool and eating out at the restaurant! The babies had a nap on the beach and the parents a snorkel in the ocean! And of course champagne and chocolate cake on the beach to celebrate Ine!!!

Met de boot naar Cocos Island voor een dagje lijkt altijd wel een beetje vakantie. We vonden het fijn dat we nu konden gaan met de ganse familie … en het was bovendien ook Ine haar verjaardag. De kinderen genoten van de bootrit, spleen op het strand, in het zwembad en uit eten op restaurant. De babies deden een dutje op het strand en de ouders snorkelden in de ocean! En natuurlijk champagne en chocladecake op het strand om Ine haar verjaardag te vieren!!!!
